My story
NeuroMoney started as a bootstrapped build to solve a problem I lived firsthand: most personal finance tools assume a neurotypical workflow. For Neurodiverse adults, that can easily turn into overwhelm and avoidance, thus leading to missed renewals and late fees. Not because we don’t care, but because the systems aren’t designed for how our brains handle time, attention, and complexity.
After being diagnosed with Asperger’s (now ASD level 1) at 15 and ADHD at 22, I could finally name why money admin felt uniquely exhausting and why “just budget harder” never helped. NeuroMoney is my attempt to rebuild the experience around visibility and support where clear dashboards, gentle structure, and fewer steps help to stay on top of subscriptions and bills.
What I’m building
- A calmer money “control panel” for subscriptions, bills, and recurring costs.
- Design choices that reduce cognitive load (predictable layouts, fewer surprises).
- Automation-first features that remove memory burden where possible.
- Accessibility features baked into the core fabric of the application.
What I believe
- Visibility beats willpower. Make money easier to see and it becomes easier to manage.
- Gentle systems beat guilt. Support works better than shame-driven motivation.
- Neurodiversity is not a flaw. Tools should adapt to people. Not the other way around.
- With the correct support. Neurodiversity can be a superpower.
